The Vikings look to “Rise Up” in 2015

We are excited to release our 2015 theme and calendar! ”Rise Up” is a mentality that has everything to do with MENTAL TOUGHNESS. When we get knocked down we “Rise Up” every time, when we are presented with a challenge we “Rise Up” and face that challenge head on.  At the end of our regular season we want to “Rise Up” an Ozark Conference Championship Trophy and at the end of Districts we want to “Rise Up” a Class 5 District Championship Plaque.  The journey has already begun, it’s time to RISE UP!

The Parkview Viking football program is sending six on to the next level.

Anthony Lippillo (Missouri State), Connor Ratcliff (SBU), Gabe Hansen (SBU), Taylor Middlebrooks (Missouri S&T), Greg Robinson (Peru State) and Alex Talbot (Avila) will all play college football next fall.

“It is amazing,” Ratcliff said of the six signings. “It shows how deep our team was, how good (we were) and how hard we worked (last) summer. It is going to be great these next four years with all of us playing in college and getting that education.”

This group of seniors was a highly decorated one.

Ratcliff was named First-Team All-State receiver by both the Missouri Football Coaches Association and the Associated Press. Robinson was honored as a First-Team All-State lineman by the MFCA. Middlebrooks made the Third-Team All-State Coaches squad.

All six players earned All-Area honors by the Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association.

Robinson and Ratcliff were both First-Team selections. Lippillo (offensive line), Middlebrooks and Talbot (defensive back) were all second-team honorees. Hansen was an honorable mention selection on the offensive line.

Lippillo is staying in Springfield to play for Missouri State largely because of new Head Coach Dave Steckel.

“I am so excited for him (Steckel). He is full of energy. He is the real deal,” Lippillo said. “I am excited for what he is going to do for the program.”
